Well Read

This novel was amazing; I absolutely loved it! It’s been a while since I read it, but I remember it being quite the journey. Jena Brown Writes Book Reviewer

JenaBrownWrites.com, December 11, 2017

This book will transport you. I read it in less than a day, the pages simply flying by. Each character is written to be complex, contributing to the plot but also giving it the same richness that people in our lives gives us. We never live life alone, and decisions or their consequences are rarely made in a vacuum. Clermont captures those layers in these pages. I ended the book feeling as if I were there, cheering, holding my breath, laughing and crying with them. [Read full review...]

Midwest Ladies Who Lit Review

MwLadiesLhoLit.wordpress.com, December 9, 2017

This is such a beautiful, heartfelt, emotional story, meant for savoring. I loved that the bonds shared in this book, between both the people and the animals, were ones that I could feel. The connections were palpable. It’s not an easy read. It’s not a book for speed-reading to kill some time. It’s one to lose yourself in. [Read more...]

The Plaid Horse Magazine - September 2016 issue, September, 2016

"Authentic, captivating, and relatable...What is most prevalent through Learning to Fall, though, is a dedication to authenticity. Clermont captures the world of showjumping in its true light: defeat, success, and the tough parts in between both non-riders and riders can keep up with the pace of the book without feeling left behind or bored...Clermont's Learning to Fall is clearly a novel that many will adore for years to come."
